| Marathon Man: Tim Knight completes this years race in London!

| Tim Knight completed his first marathon on the 22nd of April 2007, raising £1550 for St Catherine’s Hospice in the process! |

Congratulations to Tim Knight, IT manager for Mansell Recruitment Group, for completing the Marathon and raising such a large amount for charity.
Overcoming the soaring temperatures we experienced over the weekend, Tim went on to cross the line in a very respectable time.
The London Marathon 2007, what a great day, although the hottest ever, in sweltering heat, I for one will never forget it, nor I suspect will the other 36000 runners, each with their own story to tell and millions of pounds raised for many charities.
I completed the race in five and a half hours, a bit slower than I had hoped for, I put that down to the heat and not the age! A years training really paid of but it didn't prepare me for the heart sinking moment when I was overtaken by a camel and two cherry bakewell tarts!
I ran for St Catherine's Hospice, along with 29 others, and between us we raised £50,000, enough to employ 2.5 nurses for 7 days a week for a whole year, so really pleased with the sponsorship, many thanks to all those who helped and contributed to a very worthy cause.
As for the next London Marathon, I've hung up my running shoes, but who knows...
