The minimum salary offered for this position is £300 per day however the client may pay up to £400 per day to those candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities

Facilities Transition Manager (Mobile Telecom Site Infrastructure)

Day Rate Contract to start ASAP

Contract term is 6 months

Location; Winchester, Hampshire, UK

The Company

Our client, a UK leading communications Infrastructure Company, is transitioning, due to sale, a significant UK wide cellular telecommunications infrastructure and related assets comprising over 7,000 cellular sites, masts and towers, and urban rooftops

The Role

The Facilities Transition Manager, will deploy their major project management experience, strong understanding of mechanical and electrical installations in a corporate and data centre environment, service charge management and lease management to work closely with the Property, Facilities and Project Management team to facilitate the assets transition to the buyer to the agreed transfer program.

The role will involve:

· Engaging with stakeholders from all parties, including internal and external stakeholders; the sellers permanent staff, staff who are transitioning to the buyer and the buyer key parties

· Tendering separation works and selecting contractors

· Making and documenting process and policy changes

· Reviewing the impact on existing service budgets

· Managing and reporting on the project budget

To further clarify the above, the 2 critical aspects are;

1. Assets Separation:

· Stakeholder management; sellers staff remaining, sellers staff transitioning and the buyers senior management

· Support to the Project Manager in overseeing physical separation works

· Managing the practicalities of the movement of people; communications, pre-transfer preparation, moves and changes and embedding in new work environment

· Setting expectations of new ways of working

2. Processes:

· Review all current working processes and reviewing changes in operating model post day 1;

o visitor and contractor management

o emergency planning

o major incident management

o DR plans

· CAFM system changes and setting the model for planned maintenance work, the management of reactive work and reporting

· Liaising with the buyers team to agree all processes

· Document and communicate

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Facilities Manager who has lots of experience in day-to-day management of corporate properties; understands the landlord tenant relationship and has also completed moves and changes projects. Someone with a RFM background would be perfect.

Must Haves;

· Major project management experience, a strong understanding of service charge management and lease management.

· A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical installations in a corporate and data centre environment

· Knowledge of tenant/landlord relationships

· An understanding of workplace SHE requirements, ideally including an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification

· A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Reward

For the candidate that meets all of the requirements, the day rate is negotiable appropriate to the level of expertise required to manage the transition program. The agreed rate will be inclusive of any travel and accommodation expenses (if working away from home base)
