The minimum salary offered for this position is £250 per day however the client may pay up to £400 per day to those candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities

Interim Estates Manager (Telecoms Site Infrastructure)

Day Rate Contract to start ASAP

Contract term is 6+ months

Location; Winchester, Hampshire, UK

The Company

Our client, a UK leading Communications Infrastructure Company, is transitioning, due to sale, a significant UK wide cellular telecommunications infrastructure and related assets comprising over 7,000 cellular sites, masts and towers, and urban rooftops.

Some of the current Telecoms estates management team are due to transfer within the current business, so an Interim Senior Estates Manager is required for to manage the team transferring inside the company.

The Role

The Interim Senior Estates Manager role purpose, leading a team of 4 Estate Surveyors and 1 Planner, will provide interim leadership to ensure that the Company can discharge its Estates responsibilities in a timely and cost effective way during the transitioning.

The role will involve:

· Working with the E&I Director and retained estates team to define a day 1 operating model and organizational design for the Companys estates team

· Ensure the Companys estates responsibilities under the PMA are understood and processes are in place to deliver

· Identify potential outsource partners to provide extra capacity based on Brunel volumes (dependent on agreed operating model)

· Work with Spring and Summer teams to ensure processes are in place to maintain integrity of estates data during the life of the programme

· Ensure the estates management team undertake the following activities efficiently and for the businesss advantage:

o Lease renewals under the new Communications code

o Rent reviews

o Support projects ensuring appropriate access, rights and consents

o Landlord relationship management

o Management of notices to quit and assets at risk

o Town planning & community relations

o Business rates

The Candidate & Must Haves

· Will be an experienced Senior Estates Manager

· Chartered surveyor highly desirable

· Good stakeholder management skills and able to influence at a senior level

· Experience with operating model development and org design

· Operational experience and leadership across the full range of estates management functions

· Knowledge of the Electronics Communications Code would be an advantage, but not mandatory


For the candidate that meets all of the requirements, the day rate is negotiable appropriate to the level of expertise required to manage the transition program. The agreed rate will be inclusive of any travel and accommodation expenses (if working away from home base)
