The Role

This full time position within a Technical Sales department will require a flexible approach and the post holder may be required to work as and when the demands of the job dictate. This is a challenging home or office based role that will require regular travel for sales visits to the territory and occasionally to other locations. The work will be generally in, but not limited to the following areas: -

Lead Management

Identification of potential new customers in conjunction with local representatives.

Qualification of customer enquiries from website, magazine advertisements and direct contacts

Customer Application Support

Review of site drawings, technical specifications, third party equipment integration requirements & material product data

Assessment & selection of potential technical solutions to meet customer requirements

Preparation of Technical Proposals

Creation of quotations and support documentation, either working alone or as part of a team effort, to promote equipment sales

Sales Quotation Follow-up Process Support

Monitoring and tracking of proposals

Customer support during equipment tests

Conversion of successful quotations into successful orders

Sales Order Follow-up Process Support

Monitoring, supporting and tracking of Orders once taken

Sales Territory Support

Visits, exhibitions & other activities in support of sales

Other Unspecified Activities

General sales related tasks required by department manager - as and when necessary in support of the companys activities

Technical Engineering Biased

Engineering Sales Experience

Experience and a relevant engineering degree or equivalent

Knowledge of: Bulk Handling, Materials Handling, Process Industries, Powder Handling, Liquid Handling, Food Production Equipment, FMCG Machinery, Robotics, Industrial Automation, Conveyors or Special Purpose Machinery

IT literacy - with Microsoft Office products and AutoCAD readers

The Package

£30-37,000 per annum (Basic Salary) + A Company Car, Commission Structure and Company benefits package.
