Act as customers representative and work closely with the Customer to ensure project success and maintain the company’ s reputation
Issue of RFQ’ s to specialist companies and subsequent review of received quotations for suitability
Preparation of technical quotations and cost estimates and to liaise with Engineering Departments for technical assistance.
Contract review activities
Review and acknowledgment of received orders
Release of received orders into the Engineering and Project Departments of the company.
Preparation of project technical specifications
Preparation of project Timing plans in Microsoft projects or excel
Order placement for specialist equipment and subsequent on site buy-off of such equipment
Preparation of technical quotations and cost estimates for changes or enhancements to machinery and equipment and to liaise with Engineering Departments for technical suitability.
Budget control of whole project and reporting to Senior Company Management
Chairmanship of frequent Project Meetings and attendance at company progress meetings
Attendance and participation in internal Engineering Design Review meetings.
Attendance and participation in external customer Engineering Design approval meetings.
Progress and monitoring of all departments from Engineering to installation.
Arrangement of customer acceptance
Collation and issue of CE certification in accordance with the Machinery Directive
Issue of warranty certification.
After sales activitiesThe Candidate
Ideally educated to HNC level or higher and with several years’ experience in Powertrain Automotive Special Purpose Machinery and associated equipment.
Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic facilities systems.
Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, Projects, PowerPoint etc.
Attention to detail.
Good communicator at all levels.
To work safely within a potentially hazardous environments.
The successful candidate will be, able to work to immovable deadlines, must be flexible to changes in workload at very short notice, must be a committed team player and always have the best interest of the company and his colleagues in mind, must be willing to assist other installation staff and take on varying tasks that may not be within the core responsibilities of the role.The Package
