A leading manufacturer of electro-mechanical products.

The Role

Seeking a highly experienced and talented Operations Manager to join their team. This position coordinates, manages, and leads the following functional areas: Production, Logistics and Repair Operations. It also includes the management and growth path of the Manufacturing / Logistics / Project Coordinators. This position has responsibilities for large group budgets and may have additional reports in the Production Planning, Production Purchasing, and Operations Engineering groups.

Key responsibilities include:
Overall ownership to meet cost, quality and delivery metrics set within the areas of responsibility.
Coordinates interaction between different departments to review, analyse, and optimize new and existing products and processes.
Initiates and coordinates efforts for continuous improvement.
Participates in developing and executing strategic initiatives within Operations.
Provides coaching, mentoring, employee development and team-building.
Responsible for overall staffing capacity and long-term planning.

The Candidate

A minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical / Electronic / Electro - Mechanical Manufacturing and Operations Management.
Experience in successfully implementing lean manufacturing practices.
Previous experience in production planning or purchasing.
Previous supervisory experience in an Operations / Manufacturing / Repair environment.
Technical background or experience in electronics is preferred but not required.
Six-Sigma training/ Green Belt certification desirable.

The Package

The minimum salary offered for this position is £70,000 pa however the client may pay up to £80,000 pa to a candidate who can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
