The minimum salary offered for this position is £25,000 pa however the client may pay up to £30,000 pa to those candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities
Role Overview:TÜV SÜD Product Service is part of the Certification Division of the TÜV SÜD Group and is a world leader in testing and product certification. With over 50 years' experience in the UK, TÜV SÜD Product Service provides peace of mind that products are safe, reliable and compliant by providing testing, product certification, knowledge services and training to a range of industries covering the Aerospace, Defence, Electronics & Consumer, Machinery, Marine, Medical, Rail and Telecommunications sectors.Working as part of a team of testing specialists, the applicant will contribute to the provision of a comprehensive climatic testing service to a wide range of industry sectors. The successful candidate will contribute to and often initiate efficiency improvements, many of which will include the management, manipulation and presentation of electronic test data for reports.The opportunity offers a competitive salary package and a modern working environment with a subsidised on-site Restaurant and Gym and support in finding local accommodation if required. The site is close to bus routes, Junction 9 of the M27 and Swanwick railway station.Duties and Responsibilities:· Conduct climatic testing using a wide range of specialist facilities. · Liaison with customers relating to the specification and conduct of tests and the interpretation of the results. · Completion of log book and bespoke data bases. · Development of procedures and processes to improve the efficiency of the testing service. · Calibration of climatic chambers. · Working with the group to implement continuous improvement activities.Essential Criteria:· Practical experience of environmental testing OR a minimum of HND/degree (or equivalent) in an Engineering/Science qualification · Computer literate and has an interest in the effective use of computers · Good numerical, logical, organisational and analytical skills · Good interpersonal, communication and report writing skills · A self-starter, good team worker, with leadership potential · Flexible attitude · Willing to undertake a level of business travel to work at other sites and customer premises · Willing to work shift/overtime where necessary.Desirable Criteria:· Previous experience of operating climatic chambers · Experience of dealing face to face with customers · Knowledge of test laboratory quality and operating procedures. · Electrical installation principles.
