Field Sales Executive

Location; Surrey/North Hampshire

Salary: £22,000- £25,000 OTE £29,000

The Company

My client are a well-respected engineering company based on the outskirts of London, however they operate across London and surrounding counties.

The Role

The Sales Executive role will be to present and sell equipment, installation and service contracts to existing and new customers.

The Sales Executive role requires someone seeking individual responsibility and accountability for their results with the full support of the Sales Manager.

The ability to identify new opportunities and convert leads to sales is essential. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of preparing and pricing offers to existing and prospective customers.

Success in this role requires good organisational skills selling to direct end user accounts in order to aggressively grow the business in geographical areas where the company has a limited number of customers. The role covers the following areas of responsibility:

Generate sales from existing customers: generate leads from existing customers by working together with Sales Manager and Sales & Marketing Administrator. Carry out regular customer visits to existing customers and become familiar with their contact persons, their needs and equipment. Report on visits by keeping our Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) and CRM system up-to-date and monitor customer equipment usage, age and possible obsolescence with the support of the Sales & Marketing Administrator. It is essential to confirm and ensure that customer satisfaction at the end of every installation of a compressed air system.

Acquire new service (and possibly equipment) customers: find new service customers by regularly canvassing industrial estates and pro-actively work with Sales Manager and Sales & Marketing Administrator on mailing campaigns to generate leads with new customers. Track customers from our competitors on our territory and carefully approach them to convert them to our customers.

Customer sales and quotations: prepare quotations for existing and new customers in Excel and our Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) with the assistance of the Sales & Marketing Administrator and under the guidance and supervision of the Sales Manager. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of preparing and pricing offers to customers including input quotes and installation jobs on our ERP system and following up with customers. It is essential that the candidate seeks input from and works closely with our engineers at all stages of the quotation preparation. The candidate will follow-up with customers and monitor lead pipeline and success of quotations.

Direct sales support: assist our Stores Manager and Sales team to promote direct sales of parts and fittings to existing customers and build sustainable revenue stream for the company. Visit customer sites to carry out on-site stock takes and place orders once or twice per month.

Marketing support: contribute to build business cases together with Service Team and Sales & Marketing Administrator. Take regular photos of customer equipment and document installation to prepare targeted business cases and contribute to generate innovative and impactful e-marketing campaigns. Provide support to improve the visibility of the companys profile on LinkedIn, and help organising marketing activities such customer days.

Must Haves

· Adequate field sales experience and commercial abilities · Car ownership and a clean driving license. Willing to travel around London, Surrey and Hampshire areas. · Ambitious individual prepared to work hard to achieve sales targets · Good attention to details · Strong knowledge of Excel and Work, with experience using CRM systems

Reward

The anticipated contract pay rate for the candidate who meets all-of-the requirements will be from £22,000 up to a maximum of £25,000 (OTE circa £29,000 annually.
