The Company & role

International Commercial Aviation MRO

Based at the EMEA Headquarters in Amsterdam, the Company is currently seeking to recruit a Business Development Officer, to develop aftersales solutions and lead the sales process of the Companys Services & Support portfolio for, but not restricted to, the Companys aircraft to operators in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Central Asia & Russia.

Role Purpose

The Business Development team covers the EMEA region.

They lead the pipeline of Material Services Special Programs sales with the existing and potential customer base.

The Business Development Officers consolidate all internal inputs and are foremen on the Services Sales leads.

They maintain customer relationships and are involved in the administration of the existing Services Agreements looking at means to improve customer satisfaction and the Companys financial results.

They are the counterparts of the Aircraft Sales Directors on all Customer Services related aspects at the early phases of the sales campaigns.

They work on supporting the Aircraft Sales team with Material & MRO services, Maintenance economics studies and other tailored requests.

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Define and develop products (services) to be offered in the market

· Sell services to the market

· Define offer strategy, including price approach

· Prepare product specifications for projects to be marketed

· Negotiate with internal stakeholders to assure feasibility of products/services; Prepare promotion/marketing documents

· Undertake partnerships with market players in order to put in place joint offers

· Verify that contractual conditions cover risks run by the activity, in collaboration with contracts, legal, insurance and finance departments

· In cooperation with maintenance department at headquarters defines policies for maintenance centers (MROs)

· Define and analyze the Materials and "MRO" market as a whole in the region under his/her responsibility

· Negotiate with "Buyer Committees", critical customers and/or in complex situations

· Negotiate directly with customers in the framework of the defined commercial policy

· Integrate culture diversity/complexity into negotiations

· Evaluate risks and can support negotiation with critical customers and/or in complex situations;

· Contribute to company general and market strategies

· Propose segmentations and directions for development of market share

· Ensure current information is available on applicable international regulations (employment laws, aeronautical, safety, qualification, etc.)

· Responsible for customer accounts, expectations and satisfaction

· Create long term partnerships and trustful relationships with customers

· Run internal or external workshops and presentations in the framework of the Companys operators seminars

· Represent the Company in external seminars or conferences

CANDIDATE PROFILE

· Bachelor or university level education in Engineering specialized in business or related field;

· 5 - 10 Years experience in aeronautics/air transport industry;

· Knowledge of aeronautical maintenance concepts and activities;

· In-depth knowledge of commercial regulations and the air transport industry;

· Knowledge of logistics and international trade;

· Good negotiations and presentation skills;

· Able to work in a dynamic, deadline driven environment with many complexities;

· Flexible, has a sense of urgency and customer support oriented; Process oriented and driven to the continuous improvement of the activities;

· Available to travel at short notice, conduct international missions and considers working overseas an alternative for future career growth;

· Good understanding of MS-Office tools;

· Good understanding of CRM tools (Salesforce);

· Fluent English, both written and spoken, is a must. Fluency in at least one other European language would be of advantage.
