Production Team Leader

The minimum salary offered for this position is £29,500 pa however the client may pay up to £29,500 pa to those candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities

Our client is a well-established and stable specialist Manufacturing company that produce products for highly regulated industries. This renowned manufacturer is currently seeking a Production Team Leader to join their team.

As a Production Team Leader you will be responsible to organise, monitor and control the daily work schedule to best achieve the planned output in the most efficient manner utilising people and processes as appropriate, and to effectively manage a team of Technicians and to facilitate the achievement of hourly/daily targets for the completion of the customer schedule in the most cost effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

To sign-in jobs to enable them to start the production and release them to next process

To be able to plan & prioritise workload

To apply strong leadership, sound judgement and drive continuous improvement to optimise performance and ensure product quality compliance

Delivering high standards in cleanliness of production equipment and working areas with the team

Ensure that Technicians are trained and competency assessed and recorded in line with company standards and procedure requirements and that skills and knowledge gaps are identified and corrective action implemented

Technician performance monitoring and recommendation of corrective action where required

Apply continuous improvement methodologies to increase outputs, save costs etc

Required Experience:

Proven experience in a team leader, supervisor or managerial role within manufacturing

Strong ability to lead a team in a fast paced environment

Any experience working within a regulated industry is highly beneficial

Experience of setting up and running production machinery

Track record of successfully applying continuous improvement
