Automation and Controls Engineer

The minimum salary offered for this position is £30,000 pa however the client may pay up to £50,000 pa to those candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities

Our client is a well-established and stable specialist Manufacturing Company with a fantastic reputation in industry.

Currently seeking an Automation and Controls Engineer- focused on developing automated production equipment and improving existing process equipment. Integrating equipment and systems.

Key Accountabilities:

Automate production equipment.

Improve equipment to run processes more efficiently.

Understand control equipment and software on all production equipment.

Support production on major breakdowns.

Preventative maintenance (TPM).

Keep up to date on technology and products.

Essential Skills and Experience:

BSc or HND in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience.

Experienced in procuring/developing special purpose production equipment.

Skilled in writing PLC Code, Visual inspection software and controls systems in manufacturing.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Electronic, mechanical and pneumatic design, assembly and fault finding.

Integration of equipment and systems.

Highly Desirable Skills & Experience:

Design and assembly of special purpose machinery

Integration with MES/OPC systems

Production processes

CAD/CAM

Offering up to £50,000 for candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
