Injection Moulding Technician

The minimum salary offered for this position is £30,000 pa however the client may pay up to £35,000 pa to those candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities

Our client is a well-established specialist Plastic Manufacturing company with a fantastic reputation in industry. This manufacturer is currently seeking an Injection Moulding Technician to assist with the operating and maintaining of the Injection Moulding processes to safely deliver the highest quality products at the best efficiency and lowest scrap possible through the use of effective manufacturing methods.

As an Injection Moulding Technician your duties will include:

- Responsibility for components produced in Moulding

- Carrying out tool changes

- Carry out quality testing to ensure the components are in spec and take appropriate actions including following non-conformance procedures

- Carrying out minor process changes to keep the products in spec including switching off non-conforming cavities and documenting the changes made

- Liaison with operators, ensuring that visual checks are completed in a timely and efficient manner

Essential Skills and Experience:

- Have experience of working as a Setter or Process Technician within plastic injection moulding.

- Be able to confidently condition set machines.

- Have a strong troubleshooting background, being able to resolve moulding issues

- Have experience of working with/supervising operators.

- Happy to work a rotating shift pattern
