The minimum salary offered for this position is £55,000 pa however the client may pay up to £65,000 pa to those candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities

Our client is a leading engineering company that offer a superb working environment and culture.

The successful candidate will manage product lines leading to strong profitability and increase in revenue and market share. Responsible for aspects of product management for their product line, including (but not limited to) product strategy, market/customer requirements analysis, competitor product/pricing analysis, assessment of new/growing markets and general business opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

Manages lifecycles of products from concept through launch, to end of life and obsolescence, with attention to maximizing profit through a combination of pricing, cost-reduction initiatives, and customer management.

Defines and implements sustaining & end-of-life strategies for mature or declining product lines, with attention to maximizing profit and minimizing excess and obsolete materials.

Assesses viability of product concepts & customization requests to meet worldwide market, financial, and technology goals.

Owns the product line, program priority, success scores, forecast, ROI, customer adoption, updates, and regular reporting.

Creates/contributes to the input for the end-market section of both Marketing Requirement Documents (MRDs) for new product developments and Product Marketing Plans for continued growth and expansion of existing products lines or into new markets.

Assist Engineering in resolving technical questions during the Request for Quote (RFQ) process and provide a strong direct interface between the customer and engineering teams.

Tracks/understands market trends, both technical and business, and gathers market intelligence through research and customer visits to monitor market growth/decline and help manage business cycles.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Ideally a bachelors degree, higher qualification is desirable

Minimum 5 years experience in Product Management within a technical environment

Previous man management experience

Excellent communication skills - face-to-face, in writing, by phone, in groups, and in one-on-one settings

Ability to structure market research and competitive analysis.

Package: Offering from £55,000 to £65,000 with an extremely competitive benefits package including a bonus. Relcoating assistance can be offered.
