The minimum salary offered for this position is £40,000 pa however the client may pay up to £45,000 pa to those candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities

A leading manufacturer developing bespoke mechanical equipment and systems.

They are looking for a Quality and Health & Safety Manager who will be responsible for a variety of aspects across the business. These include training requirements, audit management, processing products through the workshop. As Health and Safety manager you will be responsible for all aspects of Health and Safety within the Company, including but not limited to all risk assessments, safety walk around, first aid and fire safety. You will be the first point of contact for all Quality issues for both Customers and Suppliers.

Responsibilities include:

Responsible for maintaining ISO and other accreditations

To be the Quality Representative for all quality related matters

Responsible for ensuring that requirements are addressed within the Quality Management System

Responsible for the training of staff

Responsible for the maintenance and control of internal and external standards to their latest issue

Ensuring that all inspection and testing is done in accordance within the guidelines

Arrange external calibration of measuring/testing equipment as required

Provide practical solutions to quality or health & safety problems and promote continuous improvement

Ensuring that the programme of internal audits is adhered to and that they demonstrate the adequacy of the QMS.

Ensuring that all customer complaints / corrective action requests are dealt with in a timely manner and that the issues are reported as required.

Preparing health and safety strategies and developing internal policies where required

Carrying out risk assessments including but not limited to COSHH and return to work

Liaising with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with mandatory regulations

Investigating accidents on sites and producing subsequent reports and recommendations

Carrying out site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented

Ensuring that health and safety training is completed in line with legislation and that we are abiding by all local health and safety requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

Ideally a qualification in engineering and / or health & safety

Previous experience working within a manufacturing company

Experience in a quality engineering and health & safety roles

Highly organised and ability to manage a variety of projects

Previous experience managing engineering projects or small engineering teams

Package: Up to £45,000 with an extremely competitive benefits package
