The minimum salary offered for this position is £50,000 pa however the client may pay up to £55,000 pa to those candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities

Our client is a well-established Manufacturing company who offer strong stability. Due to a recent internal promotion they are seeking a Production Manager with strong man management and experience within a fast paced manufacturing background to join the team.

The Role:

To be responsible for the day to day management of internal manufacturing resources to ensure deliverables are completed on time, to budget and in agreement with the Operations Manager.

Duties and key responsibilities:

Audit training records and training matrix to ensure these are up to date and that training records have been signed off and sent to HR.

Ensure that the companys Health and Safety policies and procedures are clearly understood and that these are implemented and followed at all times.

Support NPI if and when required to ensure that new products are implemented correctly and that the operations team receive the relevant training when required.

Support the production Team Leaders to ensure that their shifts are balanced and that cross training and development plans are in place to address any shortfalls in knowledge and skills.

Support and develop the training plans for the setting teams and monitor their progress and development.

Support the Operations Manager in introducing and developing manufacturing improvements across the business.

Maintain and promote good housekeeping and 5S across all areas of manufacturing.

Promote good quality and GMP and assist the Quality Team to implement changes to documentation and improvement activities.

Work alongside the logistics Team Leader to ensure kanban space and allocation is suitable and that materials are issued and returned in a timely manner.

With the Operations Manager support the business improvements teams in implementation of their allocated projects and work alongside the process engineers to improve line balancing.

Required Skills and Experience:

Strong man management experience

Experience of managing teams across a range of shifts

The ideal candidate will come from a fast paced environment

Experience coming from a high volume industry is required e.g. FMCG, packaging, plastics, pharmaceutical

Continuous improvement / lean manufacturing skills

Experience within GMP is highly beneficial

The Package: Offering from £50,000 to £55,000 plus a competitive benefits package
