The minimum salary offered for this position is £40,000 pa however the client may pay up to £45,000 pa to those candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities

Our client is well established company that manufactures electronic technologies that are utilised within robotics and automated production machinery. They are currently going through a strong period of growth and are looking to employ an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be required to implement standard procedures & processes that allow a repeatable result across all the company functions, ensuring that products and services meet the standards set by the company.

Duties include:

Formulation and promotion of policies and measures regarding company standards

Formulation and development of Company management system to meet standards required E.g. Quality, H&S, Environment & IiP

Stay up to date with all regulatory requirements and ensure the company operates to them

Identify training needs and take action to ensure company-wide compliance to standards

Education and training of staff regarding Quality, H&S and Environment

Program & lead the auditing of plant processes to ensure both internal and external regulations and standards are being adhered to

Be the company representative and point of contact for all external auditing bodies

Customer response and corrective action for customer complaints & RMAs

Drive continuous improvement of core processes to ensure manufacturing quality is maintained while efficiency is optimized across all functions

Prevention of recurrence of serious quality problems

Collect, compile & analyse statistical quality data to identify areas for improvement in the company management system

Contracts regarding quality with customers and suppliers

Formulation of standards for Inspection of raw materials and acceptance of certificates of conformity

Make suggestions and follow through with improvements to product reliability and quality.

Writing of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the manufacturing processes

Management of ECR and ECO systems

Work in a team to produce Process flow, FMEAs, SOPs & Control Plans.

Reliability testing of products under development working with other departments

Applying problem solving techniques (8D, 5Why, fishbone diagrams, etc.)

Stand in for Quality Control Engineer as required

The Candidate

At least 2 years experience of working on a similar

quality role

Competence with spreadsheets and statistical analysis of yields and failure mechanisms.

Have good interpersonal skills for cohesive relationships with all areas of the company and external bodies

Knowledge of how electronic components behave in analogue/digital circuits would be highly beneficial.

Experience with a range of quality engineering tools such as root cause analysis, 8D, 5S, SPC, DMAIC, fishbone diagrams or continuous improvement

Qualifications in engineering are preferred

The Package

Offering a salary between £40,000 to £45,000 depending on experience and qualifications. A higher salary might for candidates with exceptional experience.
