Due to continued success and growth a leading supplier of advanced electromechanical products to the Aerospace & Defence industries based in Hayes is looking for the next addition to their leadership team.

The Role

Overseeing Implementation, management, supervision and evaluation of customer and internal development programmes, in accordance with specifications, standards and internal governance procedures from concept, through bid proposal, contract acceptance and contract execution.

Maintaining positive cashflow within programmes, expected profit margins and maintain spend within budgets

Leading multi- disciplined teams, through initiation, planning, design and delivery execution to agreed gate level of New Product Introduction process

Lead directorate team to support the sales function with bid activity, and help drive process improvement across the business in line with best practices

Develop KPI construct, showing year on year improvement

Develop Earned Value Construct, with live dashboard capability and accessibility

Work with finance team to manage revenue recognition

Manage risk profile, anticipate and mitigate with programme team

Manage customer communications throughout the programme life cycle

Ensuring the accreditation, retention and adherence to relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001, CE Marking) on behalf of the Company in conjunction with engineering project team

Oversee the preparation, review and approval of NPI gate reviews

Delivering directorate contribution to Bid Proposals on time

Deliver professional customer relationship management

Deliver profit to budget or exceed

The Candidate

Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline / equivalent experience

APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent Programme Management qualification

Excellent leadership and management skills

Experience within defence environment

Experience of working in a senior programme leadership role

Demonstrate a good understanding of the technical requirements within market and product base

Knowledge of New Product Introduction gate architecture and requirements

Experience of managing a cross-functional team

Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Competent in the use of MS Project
