The minimum salary offered for this position is £24,000 pa however the client may pay up to £28,000 pa to those candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities

A well-established Engineering company with a strong reputation in the local area. They have a fantastic work culture and environment that is second to none. They are seeking a HR Assistant to join their team.

The Role:

As a HR Assistant you will be required to provide efficient and confidential support for the HR Manager in upholding the professional standards of the CIPD and in support of company goals and objectives. To provide proactive and confidential support for the HR Manager in all aspects of the employee life cycle.

Responsibilities include:

Recruitment of some vacancies to include preparation of advertisements, liaison with candidates, agencies, drafting of job descriptions and person specifications and participating in the selection process

Support the partnership with the Recruitment Agency to ensure continuous improvement in the service of agency employees and potential employees

Conduct and facilitate interviews and communicate feedback

Support the Exit interview process and ensure that the appropriate feedback is given to the relevant parties within the business

Preparation of contracts of employment, offer letters and other contractual paperwork as required ensuring that it complies with best HR practice and relevant employment legislation

Arrangement of induction programmes including collating of induction packs

Support managers with issues, attend meetings as necessary and prepare notes and the supporting documentation for the meetings

Attendance at internal and Group (HR) meetings as required

Oversee the Time & Attendance database. Monitor attendance of employees and provide reports for managers

Processing of starter/leaver information

Attendance and minute-taking at staff meetings including grievance and disciplinary meetings

General HR administration including dealing with day-to-day queries and issues

The Candidate:

At least 2 years experience in a HR Admin or Generalist role

Experience of recruiting new staff including working with recruitment agencies, candidate selection, interviewing, job offers, contracts and onboarding

Working experience of employment law

Strong administration skills and ability to multitask

CIPD qualifications are preferred but no compulsory

The Package:

Offering from £24,000 to £28,000 plus a competitive benefits package.
