The minimum salary offered for this position is £38,000 pa however the client may pay up to £40,000 pa to those candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities
Our client is a well-established high volume Manufacturing company who offer strong stability in the current climate. Due to recent growth, they are looking to employ a shift team leaders to join their team.This role follows the following weekly rotating shift patterns 06:45 - 15:00, 14:45 - 23:00 and 22:45 - 07:00 Monday to Friday.The Role:The Shift Team Leader is responsible for ensuring that new operators receive proper training taking in to account their age, experience and confidence levels.Promote good quality, safety and waste reduction. Suggest and action improvement ideas. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and therefore continual changes. Arrange improvement team meetings and brainstorming sessions, if and when required.Responsible for planning the running of the shift in accordance with schedules, resources available and to the priorities. Will ensure that their assistants are trained so that the shift can run equally well in his absence.Ensure that all relevant company documents are completed accurately. Modifying and introducing new documentation as required. Ensure that all quality procedures are followed and audited to establish their effectiveness. Ensure that all systems and methods are effectively used on shift. Promote improving communication between shifts and other departments. Hold toolbox talks on a weekly basis with their team.Organise overtime (when required) ensuring that staff are capable of fulfilling their duties. To ensure that appropriate personnel to supervise and troubleshoot are used for any weekend work.Promote good housekeeping standards at all times and ensure that 5s systems are in place and standard sustained.Required Skills and Experience:Happy to work a rotating shift patternStrong man management experienceThe ideal candidate will come from a fast paced environmentExperience coming from a high-volume industry is required e.g. FMCG, CNC, packaging, plastics, pharmaceuticalContinuous improvement / lean manufacturing skills is highly beneficialExperience within GMP is highly beneficialThe Package: Offering from £38,000 to £40,000 plus a competitive benefits packageIf you are interested in applying then please send your CV to charlie@mansell.co.uk
