A well-established and successful company specialising in the design and development of advanced technology solutions. Seeking an experienced Head of Design to lead their engineering team and key projects. Role & Responsibilities Include:The successful candidate will play a pivotal hands-on role, leading key projects within the business and dealing directly with their customers. The team of software and hardware engineers are led by the head of design. The position involves working as part of a team, both in the UK and internationally, to design and develop products that meet customer needs and demands.The position will require the successful applicant to design and develop embedded, in conjunction with PC based software, for their new and existing range of equipment both physical and virtual.1. Microprocessor electronics and peripherals1. Motorola (NXP or Freescale) Coldfire range2. ARM (Renesas Synergy and RZA1H)3. Xilinx PLD, Coolrunner series4. RAM DDR, SDRAM and SRAM5. USB6. Dual port RAM7. DMA8. LCD, Epsom and from RZA1H2. Languages C/C++ and assembler3. Operating system, ThreadX and NetX4. Low level debug and analysis, using oscilloscope etc5. Digital and analogue circuit design6. Development environments1. E2 Studio2. Code Warrior3. Xilinx Impact7.
