CNC Grinder

The Company
A fast-paced manufacturing company looking for a CNC Grinder to grow the team.


The Role
This role involves loading/unloading, checking dimensions in line with our inspection processes, and general maintenance of multiple machines.  Liaising with the night shift on the morning changeover and ensuring the stock of consumables is adequate.

Duties:
To program, set up and operate CNC and manual machines

Cylindrical Grinding Skills

To be able to work to fine tolerances

Produce first-off components for inspection

Ensure components are produced to the highest standards as per specifications and drawings.

Inspect components during production to ensure drawing/spec requirements are maintained.

Be able to interpret operations sheets, drawings, sketches, and CAD to program and set up parts

To clean and undertake preventative maintenance of machines

Participate in Continuous Improvement / Lean manufacturing activities where required.


The Candidate
Experience with programming, setting, and operating CNC grinding machines and manual machines

Be able to read and interpret engineers’ drawings and tolerances.

Be able to use a wide range of different measuring devices and inspection techniques.

Able to work as part of a team and assist others where required.


Salary 
The salary offered for this position is £20,000- £30,000 depending on experience.
