A leading precision engineering company looking for a CNC Turner to join the tean
Responsibilities:
Set up CNC lathes equipped including loading materials, selecting appropriate cutting tools, and securing workpieces.
Develop, modify, and optimise CNC
Operate CNC lathes to perform turning, facing, grooving, threading, and other machining operations on various materials such as metals, plastics, and composites.
Monitor machining processes and conduct in-process inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards and tolerances specified in engineering drawings.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn tools or parts to ensure optimal performance.
Identify and troubleshoot issues with the machines, controls, tooling, or programs to minimise downtime and maintain productivity.
Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality control teams
The Candidate
Engineering qualifications
Proven experience as a CNC Turner
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Familiarity with a variety of CNC lathe controls and machine tools, including turning centers, live tooling, and multi-axis machines.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to inspect machined parts accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
The Package
The salary offered for this position is £13- 18 per hour plus overtime to a candidate who can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
