Engineering Buyer

Our client is a well-established manufacturer of bespoke solutions. They are seeking an experienced Engineering Buyer to join their Supply Chain team.

The Role
Working alongside the Supply Chain team, this is a role for an experienced Engineering Buyer looking for their next step. This individual is responsible for meticulously reviewing the Bill of Materials (BOM), placing orders for stock and products necessary for jobs, and maintaining robust communication with the production and engineering departments.

Key Responsibilities:
Supplier on-time performance
Commercial negotiation of purchases and frame-work contracts
Supplier quality development
Research & finding new suppliers
Prepare monthly KPI’s
Supplier visits / assessments
Global buyer coordination & support
Raising Purchase Orders and expediting

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing procurement in a manufacturing company.
Proficient in the use in an ERP or MRP system.
Recognised Engineering and/or Business Administration qualification, CIPS preferred.
The ideal candidate will be highly structured and capable of managing autonomously.
