Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is a leading engineering company that design, manufactures and installs bespoke equipment. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.


The Role:
As a member of their design team, you will work with their clients to determine their requirements.
3D mechanical design of bespoke engineering machinery using Autodesk Inventor.
To offer creative thinking within cost and time restraints.
The ability to work on several projects simultaneously meeting tight deadlines.
Visits to customers’ sites both in the UK and overseas as necessary to gain engineering information.
Project managing the design, manufacture, and all other technical aspects of the project.
Compiling parts lists and maintaining drawing records following the technical office procedures.


The Candidate:
Minimum HND in Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge in using 3D CAD such as Solidworks, Inventor, Siemens NX, AutoCAD, Creo etc
Knowledge of pneumatics or hydraulic systems is highly beneficial
To be able to work as a team and on their own to meet customer deadlines.


The Package:
Up to £42,000 with an extremely competitive benefits package.
