Product Design Engineer

The Company
A well-established engineering company that is going through a strong growth period and is looking for a Product Design Engineer to join the growing team.

The Role

The successful engineer will be required to deliver the very best technical support to customers.

The main purpose of this position is to design Electric Actuators. In addition, the engineer will also be expected to support with technical inquiries, investigate product claims, product testing, produce various technical documentation and to identify, develop and deliver training.

Conduct research within the market including trends and competitor activities, provide support for new products in the European market and Special Electric Actuators designs is also a requirement of the role.

The Candidate
A Degree or HND Qualification - Electronics, Electromechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
Minimum 1-year relevant work experience
Knowledge of electrical motion control for industrial applications.
General Electrical Engineering knowledge.
Strong verbal and written communication skills as you will be required to write detailed, technical reports and product documentation

Desirable, but not essential skills:
Over 3 years of work experience in SolidWorks designing Mechanical components or assemblies for Industrial machinery

Working knowledge of pneumatic and electrical systems and test equipment

Experience in planning and manage projects

Technical product support experience

Experience in delivering technical training

European or Japanese language skills
