Our West Sussex based client is a specialist in the design and manufacture of equipment and machinery which is used in the Process industries.
Due to continued growth, they require a Technical Buyer to join their team.
This role is 4 days per week. Monday to Thursday.
Responsibilities:
Establish the best price from the most suitable supplier
Develop Supply Chain in accordance with agreed sourcing strategy along with local back-up sources
Visiting / auditing suppliers when necessary
Purchasing raw materials (castings and bar stock) and machined components according to agreed sourcing strategy
Develop sub-contract supply chain for outside operations, placement and management of sub-contract Purchase Orders
Expediting of open Purchase Orders, and updating delivery dates within BaaN
Liaising with internal stakeholders and supply chain to resolve any NCR's
Skills and Qualifications:
At least 3 years’ experience in Purchasing and supply chain management
Working in a manufacturing environment advantageous
Experienced in using an ERP / MRP system
The Package:
Our client will pay a salary of up to £34,000pa for candidates that have the necessary qualifications and experience.
