Our client is a well-established precision engineering company that is going through a period of growth. They are seeking an experienced CMM Quality Inspector to join their team.

The Role
The Engineering Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality and performance standards. This role involves inspecting, parts, and products at various stages of production. The inspector will document findings, communicate issues to the production team, and work towards resolving quality-related problems to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials and finished products using precise measurement tools and techniques.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify conformance to specifications, component drawings, and standards.
Utilise testing equipment and methods to assess product functionality and performance.
Record inspection results by completing reports, logs, and data entry.
Document non-conformances and work with production teams to resolve quality issues.
Prepare detailed inspection reports summarising findings and recommendations.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in quality audits and assist in maintaining ISO and other quality certifications.
Implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Collaborate with engineers, production staff, and management to address and resolve quality issues.
Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements and defect prevention.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

The Candidate
Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality inspection or a related role in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in using CMM machines, physical and visual.
Proficiency in using measurement tools (e.g., callipers, micrometers, gauges).
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Offering up to £40k plus benefits and overtime offered at x1.5 rate
