Our client is a well-established precision engineering company seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setter Operator to join their team.Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM (39-hour week) with plenty of overtime available at premium rates.The RoleProduce high-quality, precision components with maximum efficiencyRead and interpret engineering drawingsDevelop programs and production methods for new parts using available resourcesSet up and operate CNC machines with confidenceMake minor program adjustments to ensure components meet drawing specifications and customer requirementsPerform first-off inspections using gauges and measuring instrumentsMaintain a clean, organised, and safe shop floor environmentContribute to continuous improvement initiativesFoster a strong team-oriented environmentThe CandidateProven experience in CNC setting and operatingFamiliarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Mazatrol, Siemens, Heidenhain, etc.Strong setting and proving skillsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsGood understanding of materials, speeds, feeds, and cutting toolsThe PackageCompetitive pay, up to £18 per hourHigher rates available for candidates with programming experience.
