Our client is a well-established precision engineering company seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setter Operator to join their team.
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM (39-hour week) with plenty of overtime available at premium rates.
The Role
Produce high-quality, precision components with maximum efficiency
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Develop programs and production methods for new parts using available resources
Set up and operate CNC machines with confidence
Make minor program adjustments to ensure components meet drawing specifications and customer requirements
Perform first-off inspections using gauges and measuring instruments
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe shop floor environment
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Foster a strong team-oriented environment
The Candidate
Proven experience in CNC setting and operating
Familiarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Mazatrol, Siemens, Heidenhain, etc.
Strong setting and proving skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Good understanding of materials, speeds, feeds, and cutting tools
The Package
Competitive pay, up to £18 per hour. Higher rates available for candidates with programming experience.
