Our client is a leading engineering company that design, manufactures and installs bespoke equipment. They are looking for a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer to
produce bespoke electrical schematic drawings and write program control systems.
Responsibilities:
As a member of their design team, you will work with their clients to determine their requirements.
You will produce bespoke electrical drawings in accordance with the latest legislation using the latest electrical control technologies available.
You will write PLC programs and oversee factory testing of the overall product.
After time you'll support other members of the Design team, and their field service engineers out on the road.
You'll actively be involved in their research and development for new innovative products we are looking to bring to market. From time to time, you will attend trade shows and seminars to learn about developments in the industry.
Key responsibilities:
Liaising with clients by email, phone, and when necessary, attending meetings either remotely or in person on site.
Project managing the design, manufacture, programming, and testing of electrical control systems.
Fault finding and prevention.
Keep up to date with relevant design standards and legislation.
Design of control systems.
Research, development, and Implementation of new technologies.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Electrical engineering focused degree minimum
Knowledge of using electrical design packages such as AutoCAD, Solidworks
Knowledge in PLC Programming
Project management skills.
Knowledge of HMI & MODBUS Protocol.
Package:
Up to £30,000 with an extremely competitive benefits package.
