Our client is a leading engineering company that manufactures solutions used within a range of sectors. They offer a superb working environment and culture.
They are looking for a Service Engineer to cover both field and inhouse duties. You will be expected to travel globally to attend customer sites for installation and service work.
Responsibilities:
Installation of electro-mechanical industrial equipment – both as new and retrofit equipment.
Commissioning the range of products, recording the required measurements.
Test the equipment to satisfy the customer’s requirements and provide operator training.
Customer / OEM / Distributor / staff training as required from time to time, both in house and on site in the UK and worldwide.
Service and repair of existing systems.
Travel in the UK and overseas worldwide working mostly alone but with support from the in-house service team. Some product ranges require technicians to work in a team out on site.
In House duties include:
Assembly skills.
Light mechanical & electrical/electronic assembly.
Repair and refurbishment of components as required.
Setting up the systems for test – assembling the mechanical and electrical /electronic components/assemblies.
Measuring & recording information using a variety of instruments including air pressure, temperature, voltage, current following the quality test checks.
Skills and Experience:
Electrical Engineering qualifications.
17th or 18th edition is highly beneficial.
Experience of 3 phase industrial environments.
Recent experience working in a field service role (could involve commissioning, service breakdowns, installations, warranty visits etc.)
Previous experience travelling for work.
Must be free to travel worldwide with no restrictions.
Must have a current manual full driving licence.
Knowledge of PCB’s & PLC’s is highly beneficial.
Package:
Up to £45,000 plus premium over time rate, and competitive benefits package including private medical cover once probation has been passed.
