Our client is a leading engineering company that provides engineering services to a range of the Rail and Commercial Vehicle sectors.
They are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover London and surrounding areas.


The Role:
Provide Field Service support to all Mobility products in the London and surrounding areas.
Carry out transmission changeouts and disconnections at customer premises
To carry out diagnostics and repairs at customer premises
Carry out major unit exchanges at customer premises
Complete stocktakes in line with company plan
Complete reports and paperwork once assignment is finished, and submit as soon as convenient
Give assistance to sales staff on technical aspects of Voith Mobility products
Ensure all tooling and equipment is within calibration dates
Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and their representatives.
To seek and report on future business opportunities
Interface with Mobility Sales and commercial department to share field service opportunities to increase sales for Mobility
Work together with the customer to minimise downtime.
To report to the company any potential quality related issues noted during the work assignment
Carry out work within Voith Turbo Ltd workshop facilities as and when required.
To train other team members with product knowledge, where possible.
Occasionally work unsociable hours as requested and to fulfil the job requirements.
Liaise with Health & Safety, and Manager, on any issues arising in the day to day working at various premises
Represent Voith Turbo Ltd in a positive and professional manner.
Able to develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and their representatives.


The Candidate:
Come from a mechanical engineering and service background, with experience in Commercial vehicle (HGV, LGV, PSV and other commercial vehicles) or Rail industry
Experience with transmissions, engine, intelligent drive systems and related equipment
Must possess a strong analytical background in Hybrid and Electric vehicles
Working on their own initiative will be a key element as they will be working under the supervision Service Supervisor, but in different locations
Excellent communications kills as they will be liaising with customers on a daily basis
Good IT skills for diagnostic work and supporting reports


The Package:
Offering up to £47k, plus bonus (up to 7%), private medical, private dental and 6% employer pension.
