Our client is a well-established and stable specialist Manufacturing company that produce products for highly regulated industries including medical and healthcare. This renowned manufacturer is currently seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer responsible for machinery maintenance, performance and safety.
This role follows a 4 on 4 off, 6am to 6pm shift pattern.
As a Maintenance Engineer your duties will include:
Pre-planned and reactive maintenance on their production machinery
Responsibility and accountability for all aspects of machine performance and safety.
Planning, completion and delivery of effective maintenance on all plant and facility equipment.
Active involvement within the Lean Teams and other performance-focused groups as required, including completion of allocated actions.
Responsibility to adhere to the Companies Health and Safety policy at all times and operate and promote the development of quality standards and procedures taking ownership of tasks and to seek new improved ways of doing things
Ensuring availability of good quality tooling on every machine and process.
Ensuring availability of relevant spares for every machine and process.
Effective communication via Engineering logs, shift handovers and direct interaction with the manufacturing teams.
Essential Skills and Experience:
NVQ 3 / HNC Engineering
Proven experience in a production environment
Previous responsibility providing reactive and pre-planned maintenance on automated machinery
Electrical and mechanical experience
Must be a hands on, adaptable problem solving engineer
Previous experience with pneumatics, lasers, cutting, folding and similar automated machinery is highly desired.
