A well-established manufacturer with a strong reputation in industry is seeking an Electrical focused Maintenance Engineer to join their team.
This role follows a rotating shift pattern - Mon-Fri 7am to 3pm and Mon-Thur 12pm-10pm

The Role
To ensure safe and efficient operation of all equipment; perform scheduled preventative maintenance as planned; perform production equipment changeovers; troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical problems when needed; maintain proper records for maintenance, inventory of parts, and emergency repairs; promote good housekeeping habits related to maintenance; coordinate equipment training as needed; and communicate ideas and other problems to the management staff. This is a highly skilled position that involves a combination of electrical and mechanical duties.

Daily Tasks
Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment to meet or exceed company established Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) expectations and customer quality expectations.
Proactive in addressing inefficiencies of production equipment.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment including power and control wiring, motors, controls, electronic devices, PLC’s and building electrical maintenance.
Troubleshoots PLC and other electronic systems. Able to troubleshoot and program machine logic systems.
Reads and interprets schematics, parts manuals, blueprints, sketches, hydraulic diagrams, and machine manuals.
Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, PLC, mechanical and process problems with equipment as needed or directed by Maintenance Manager.
Continually evaluate equipment for improvement areas. Tag components or parts that need repair, replacement or improvement.
Perform scheduled production equipment mould changeovers as outlined by Maintenance Manager or Production Manager.

The Candidate
Electrical engineering qualifications
Electrical biased engineer that is confident working on 3 phase machinery.
Any experience with controls / PLC’s is highly advantageous.
Experience providing reactive and PPM maintenance to production machinery.
Experienced in working on manufacturing or automated machinery.
Proven experience in a production environment.
