Mechanical Design Engineer


The Company
A well-established engineering company that is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to assist in the design of the bespoke company machinery.



The Role
• Using the company’s Key Creator 3D CAD system to provide effective mechanical design solutions, as specified by client’s contracts or company requirements, within the required timescale and within statutory regulations and requirements. Includes mechanical assembly, electrical schematics, machine layout drawings, and component detail drawings.

• Preparing technical documentation and machine operating manuals

• Specifying and sourcing key components

• Preparing Bill of Material listings.

• Provide technical problem-solving, including “hands-on” involvement.

• Parts procurement.

• Maintaining drawings and project records

• Liaising with clients and other internal departments.


The Candidate
1. 3+ years’ experience working in a mechanical design position.
2. Experience designing gears, motors, or sensors.
3. Experience in an engineering-related position.
4. Experience in manufacturing/assembly environment.
5. Experience in the use of CAD drawing software and Microsoft Office.


The Package
The salary offered for this position is £30,000- £40,000pa to a candidate that can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
