The Role
Work with minimal supervision
To be responsible for the quality of parts produced and ensure they conform to company standards and product drawings.
To ensure all the company procedures are followed with respect to product checking.
To run machines to achieve cycle times as recorded on the route cards.
Assist Setter/Team Leader in improving changeover times, machine run efficiencies, and tooling setups.
Operate punch presses.
Keep work areas clean and tidy to help minimise the risk of accidents.
Always ensure health and safety of self and others.
Assistant in the maintenance of machines as and when required.
Transportation of goods within the factory, assisting with stock checks and general housekeeping within the manufacturing unit.
To take part in any continual improvement programs.
This would be rotating shift work – one week on the 6 am – 2 pm shift, the next week on the 2 pm – 10 pm shift.
The Candidate
Experience operating machinery
Able to work well in a small team
Able to read drawings
Desirables
Forklift experience
Sheet metal or fabrication background
Working in manufacturing/production.
The Package
The salary offered for this position is £11.50 depending on experience plus 19% bonus to a candidate that can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
