Our client is a well-established engineering company that manufactures products used within a variety of industries. Seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team to provide total productive maintenance to their manufacturing facility.
This role follows a standard day shift from Monday to Friday.
The Role:
To be part of a team providing technical support to the manufacturing plant including maintenance, calibration, and repair of assembly equipment.
To be responsible for developing, managing, and conducting a systematic Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program to ensure machine reliability, life cycle and cost management on plant equipment.
Owns and maintains an approved tooling list for manufacturing hand tools ensuring there is a Kanban driven replacement strategy.
To support projects investing in new manufacturing technologies, techniques, and capital investment to drive continuous improvement, growth, and cost reduction.
Essential responsibilities:
To minimise machine downtime and improve machine availability.
To develop, own and implement the system for conducting preventative maintenance (TPM) and calibration on equipment used in the manufacturing plant.
To develop, own and implement a system for defining approved tooling ensuring spares are available.
Provide a prompt response to machine errors and identify and implement corrective actions to minimise machine downtime and prevent future recurrence.
To report on the condition of the equipment and to identify and correct or report any deterioration in the performance or condition of the equipment.
Contribute to programs to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery or Cost.
Trains manufacturing operatives in the use and maintenance of production tools/equipment.
The Candidate:
Engineering qualifications is preferred
Proven experience in a production environment
Previous responsibility providing reactive and pre-planned maintenance on production machinery
Must be a hands-on, adaptable problem-solving engineer
The Package:
