Our client is a well-established and reputable manufacturer that produce life changing products. This renowned manufacturer is currently seeking a Procurement Manager to join their growing team. The successful will lead the Procurement team and ensure company objectives are met.


The Role:
To work within the management team to achieve all Company objectives.
Develop the departments team skills in line with current and future business requirements.
To manage and develop all aspects of the supply chain, with particular emphasis on cost control, supply and business continuity, whilst providing market intelligence, particularly on cost movement.
To manage the procurement of all materials in support of company activity.
To supply the commercial resource into multi-disciplined teams involved in identification and selection of potential suppliers and Capex programmes.
To develop appropriate procedures, systems, controls and measurements to manage and demonstrate the effectiveness of the Purchasing function.
Through a supervisory team manage the inventory function.
Develop strong business relationships with all key stakeholders.
Ensure the department is compliant to all regulatory standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Vendor Management and development
Procurement
Multi-company inventory management collaboration
Inventory and material movements
Input into operational strategy
Budget formulation and compliance
Staff development
Health and Safety
Stock accuracy


The Candidate:
CIPS Level 5 / or equivalent procurement qualification
Procurement management in a manufacturing organisation
Leadership of a Category Management structure of direct materials in a similar industry
Experience in complex negotiations and contract management
Running cost saving, negotiation, supply continuity projects
Developing supply and sourcing strategy
Team building
Performance management, coaching and mentoring
Ideally worked in a regulated industry such as Food / Medical
Understanding of Category Management function and related activities
MRP / ERP working knowledge


The Package:
Offering for £55,000 to £60,000 plus a competitive benefits package.
