Our client is growing company that manufactures capital equipment used within the scientific sector. Due to growth they are seeking a Production manager with strong people management skills to join their team.


The Role:
Manage production staff and processes.
Ensure cross-training is in place such that all production processes have at least 1 backup.
Manage and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing.
Ensure assignments and tasks are completed with high quality and in the timeline required.
Ensure that performance reviews are held and documented according to company policy at least annually.
Recommend and follow through on training and education needs for your team.
Progress corrective and preventive actions for medium and high-risk production related non-conformance's as required.
Contribute to maintenance of the company’s ISO 9001 quality accreditation.
Ensure that all production processes and procedures are adequately documented with full revision control.
Spend time actively training, implementing, and monitoring production personnel on best manufacturing practices.
Provide financial input to generation of the annual company budget.
Report monthly on Production and Quality KPIs indicating any changes which may affect company financial performance, product quality or customer experience.


The Candidate:
At least 5 years’ experience as a production or manufacturing manager
Experience in managing electromechanical manufacturing.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with self-motivation.
A good knowledge and understanding of the principles of the ISO 9001 QMS.
Experience working in the scientific sector is highly beneficial.


The Package:
Offering up to £45k to £55k plus a competitive benefits package.
