Hours: Monday to Thursday: Start at 6:00 or 7:00 AM, finish at 2:30 or 3:30 PM,

Friday: 5-hour day, finish at 11:00 AM or 12:00 PMAn established manufacturer of precision equipment is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join their team in Dorking, Surrey.The RoleThis is a hands-on fabrication position producing high-quality components and assemblies to tight tolerances. Working primarily with thin-gauge aluminium (0.5mm – 2mm), you’ll take parts from raw material through to finished assemblies. The role offers long-term stability, a supportive team, and excellent working hours.Key ResponsibilitiesFabricate and assemble precision sheet metal componentsSpot welding and use of guillotine and notching machinesFolding using press brakes, including developing flat patternsOperation of manual box folding and rolling equipmentDrilling and tapping using bench drillsBrake press operation (shaping and bending sheet aluminium)Fettling and finishing components to precision tolerancesCandidate ProfileProven experience in sheet metal fabrication of precision equipmentSkilled in working to tight tolerances and high-quality standardsCompetent in multiple fabrication processes (e.g. guillotine, brake press, welding, fettling, drilling, manual box folding and rolling)Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or collaborativelyStrong understanding of aluminium fabrication best practices
