Soldering Technician

A leading UK electronics manufacturing company is seeking a Soldering Technician to join its team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with experience in PCB soldering for major OEMs across a variety of sectorsKey ResponsibilitiesPerform hand soldering on PCBs in line with defined build instructions, IPC-A-610, and J-STD standards.Depending on experience, carry out board modifications to meet customer requirements.Adhere strictly to all production processes; raise any gaps or improvement opportunities with your supervisor.Support continuous improvement initiatives, including updating documentation within the Quality Management System (QMS).Ensure compliance with company quality standards and procedures.Candidate RequirementsProven soldering experience, ideally to IPC-A-610 and J-STD Class 3 standards.Modification experience preferred, though not essential.Familiarity with surface mount technologyStrong attention to detail.Ability to follow customer drawings accurately.Knowledge of leaded resistor colour codes is desirable.Current IPC certification is a strong advantage, as is experience working to aerospace standards.The PackageSalary: £25,000 – £28,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)We operate and advertise as an Employment Agency for permanent positions and an Employment Business for contract/temporary roles.
