An international provider of certification, testing and inspection are looking for multiple trainee Test Technicians to join their team to support a key client.
The Role
Shift Technicians will perform RF (Radio Frequency) testing within a brand-new state of the art test facility
This role will require the successful candidate to contribute to a rotating shift pattern to cover the demand for 24/7 testing. The shift pattern will involve rotating across two shifts (10am-10pm or 10pm-10am) on a 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off basis.
Initial training will be delivered on a shift pattern of Monday-Friday, 37 hours per hour, 8:30am-5:00pm before transferring to the shift rotation after training.
The work will include the following:
Being part of a team delivering test services as part of a 24-hour, 7 day shift pattern, undertaking RF test in accordance with harmonised test standards (the most common being ETSI and FCC), or customer specific test plans, within the RF test facilities.
Control and monitor the test equipment calibration status during testing.
Working with customers during attended testing.
Close liaison with the Project Manager to ensure work is carried out accurately and within the agreed timescales.
Accurate recording of results following company quality procedures and providing clear, concise communication at end of shifts.
The Candidate
Educated to at least Level 3 in Electrical / Electronic Engineering. HNC, HND or degree is preferred
Knowledge of Radio Frequency or EMC
Experience in using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, multi meters, spectrum analysers
Keen to learn and undertake training in a world class facility
The Package
The company will offer the successful candidate a salary of £26,000, then increasing to £31,200 once training has been completed
