The Company

Our client is a well-established and growing engineering and manufacturing business specialising in laser cutting, fabrication, and CNC machining. With a reputation for delivering high-quality precision components to a wide range of industries, they are now looking to invest in the future by hiring a Trainee Quality Inspector to support their quality department.



 



The Role

As a Trainee Quality Inspector, you will work alongside experienced quality professionals to ensure all manufactured parts meet customer specifications and company standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced production environment, with full training provided.



 



Key Responsibilities




  • Assist with the inspection of laser cut, fabricated, and CNC machined components.

  • Use a variety of measuring tools such as verniers, micrometres, height gauges, and callipers.

  • Support in conducting visual and dimensional checks against technical drawings and specifications.

  • Help maintain accurate records of inspections and non-conformances.

  • Liaise with the production team to resolve any quality issues.

  • Learn how to complete quality documentation including inspection reports and control plans.

  • Support the continuous improvement of quality procedures and processes.



 



Requirements

A genuine interest in manufacturing and quality control.



Willingness to learn and develop skills in a precision engineering environment.



Good attention to detail and a methodical approach.



Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings (training provided).



Strong communication and teamwork skills.



Basic understanding of measuring equipment is desirable but not essential.



Hold an engineering qualification.



 



Salary

£25,000–£28,000 per annum, depending on experience and ability to meet the key requirements of the role.
