Job Purpose
To test all faulty hydraulic rams and cylinders. Repair leaking, faulty hydraulic rams and cylinders, re-sealing where required.
In addition, support the workshop engineers to carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on vehicle mounted cranes, multilifts, skip loaders and access platforms and any other vehicle mounted hydraulic system.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Service, maintain and repair Hydraulic rams and cylinders.
• The repair of small plant and machinery.
• Make up hydraulic hoses.
• Work on hydraulic power packs and industrial applications.
• Complete all necessary paperwork/computer job sheets, stock transfers in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure all defects are reported correctly and timely.
• Work as part of a team or remotely and must be adaptable to transfer your skills to other areas when required.
• Work safely in compliance with risk assessments and method statements and be strong enough to challenge any unsafe practises.
• Act in accordance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and practices.
• Undertake other duties and any ad hoc projects as required by Hydraulic Crane Services.
• Behave in a manner, at all times, that reflects positively upon Hydraulic Crane Services.
• Liaise with the customer and ensure all work carried out is done to the customer’s satisfaction.
• Ensure that on completion of any work carried out, the customer’s crane is safe to use.
• Respect customers’ HCS facilities and dispose of all waste products as required by Hydraulic Crane Services environmental procedures.
• Attend training courses away from home when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and professional image at all times.
Qualifications
• Hiab Service courses
• Allmi Operator’s licence
• Allmi Load Testing licence
• Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent for maths, English and science.
• Have a full and clean UK driving licence.
• Have a basic knowledge of commercial vehicles including electrical systems.
• Be computer literate
